What this class offers
Each session includes a short introduction to yogic meditation, followed by guided practice and time to settle into stillness.
You won’t be left wondering if you’re “doing it right.”
There is always space at the end for questions, reflection, and support, so you can build confidence in your own practice rather than feeling lost or unsure.
Over time, the aim is to help you develop a way of meditating that feels natural, steady, and your own.

Rooted in the yoga tradition
In classical yoga, meditation is known as Dhyana, one of the eight limbs of yoga described in the teachings of Patanjali.
Rather than something separate, meditation is a natural continuation of the yoga practice; a gentle movement inward after working with the body and breath.
These sessions offer a simple and practical way to explore this aspect of yoga, without needing prior knowledge or experience.

A supportive environment
Meditation can sometimes feel challenging at first; the mind wanders, the body fidgets, and it’s easy to feel unsure.
This class is designed so you feel supported throughout, with guidance that helps you understand what’s happening rather than trying to force stillness.
You are encouraged to explore at your own pace, without pressure.

Experience you can trust
The sessions are guided by James, who brings years of personal meditation practice.
He has spent extended time in retreat, including 90 days in silence, and shares his experience in a way that is grounded, clear, and accessible to everyday life.
The focus is not on theory for its own sake, but on helping you experience meditation for yourself.
